THE PROCESS

  1. You will receive an email from no-reply@securefilepro.com with your username and a secure link to our Client Portal (moorestax.securefilepro.com).

  2. Click the link and set up a password using your username and the last 4 digits of your SSN as the temporary PIN.

  3. Sign in with your username and new password.

  4. Complete your profile by providing any requested personal information (this is required only for first-time users to verify your identity).

  5. Upload all tax documents (W-2, 1099, 1098-T, 1099-A, etc.) in the Documents tab.

  6. Once all documents have been provided, we will begin preparing your tax return.

  7. You will be contacted by email or phone if we need any additional information or when your return is ready for review and signature.

  8. Review your completed return in the portal, then electronically sign the e-file authorization (Form 8879).

  9. If filing jointly, enter your spouse’s email address after you sign. They will receive their own secure link to review and sign.

  10. Once signatures are complete, we will e-file your return and notify you of the status.


Frequently Asked Questions

Will I receive a notification when my return is ready to sign? Yes. You will receive an email from no-reply@securefilepro.com when your return is ready for review and signature. To avoid it going to spam/junk, add our email address to your safe senders list.

How do I upload my documents? Log into the portal at moorestax.securefilepro.com → go to the Files tab → click “Upload” and select your files (W-2s, 1099s, receipts, etc.).

What if I don’t receive the activation email or access code? Check your spam/junk folder. You can also log in directly at moorestax.securefilepro.com. If you still do not receive it, contact us at MooresTaxServices@outlook.com or call (662) 456-2666.

Is it safe to enter part of my social security number? Yes. The portal uses 256-bit encryption. Look for https:// and the padlock icon in your browser to confirm you are on the secure site.

Where do the identity verification questions come from? What if I don’t remember the answers? The questions are knowledge-based and pulled from public government and credit sources. If you don’t remember the answers or they do not apply, choose the option that reflects this. If you are unable to complete the electronic signature, you can print, sign, and return Form 8879 to us.

Will this work on my phone or tablet? Yes. The portal works on any internet-connected device (computer, smartphone, or tablet). There is no separate app required.

Will I be able to download and print my return for my records? Yes. You can download and print your return at any time from a computer. On a smartphone or tablet, you can review and e-sign, then download from a computer later.

My spouse and I file jointly. How can we both sign the e-file authorization form(s)? The person with the primary email address signs first. After signing, enter the spouse’s email address. The spouse will receive their own secure link with identity verification questions specific to them. Once both signatures are complete, we will be notified and finish the e-filing process.

Can I sign my dependent’s return electronically? In most cases, dependents have limited data available for electronic verification. If electronic signing is not possible, we will deliver the return for manual signature. You can return the signed form via the portal, email, or fax.

Will you return my source documents? Yes. We will return your original documents by mail. If you prefer electronic return of documents in PDF format, call our office to opt in. You can also pick up documents in person — just let us know.
